Report: Delinquency Down in Florida, Despite a Host of Challenges – The Saint Peters Blog
Delinquency in Florida is decreasing thanks to the to the increased use of civil citations for first time non-violent offenders, according to a 2017 report by the Florida Juvenile Justice Association. However, Florida still leads the nation in how many children are prosecuted as adults for non-violent offenses. Research shows that arresting children for these small offenses at such a young age can actually increase their propensity towards violence and re-offending. Read more.
