On Nov. 5, 2018 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. (EST) CJCA’s Positive Youth Outcomes Committee will host a webinar on putting in place the necessary supports and services that youth with disabilities require in order to achieve optimal progress in juvenile correctional education settings.
Simon Gonsoulin is a principal researcher at AIR where he serves as director for the National Technical Assistance Center for the Education of Neglected or Delinquent Children and Youth (NDTAC). Simon Gonsoulin and Joseph Gagnon, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Florida will present. Dr. Gagnon’s research focuses on ensuring youth at the greatest risk for educational, behavioral, and social failure are provided the supports necessary for long-term success in school and society.
This webinar will address the needs of youth with emotional disturbance and learning disabilities who are placed in secure facilities or in residential treatment facilities.
