FREE Webinar: Positive Youth Outcomes Committee Education Series: Outcome / Measurement – September 10 at 4:00 PM
On Sep. 10 CJCA’s Positive Youth Outcomes Committee will host a webinar on Outcomes / Measurement. Jeffrey A. Butts, Ph.D., director of the Research and Evaluation Center at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and an adjunct member of the doctoral faculty in the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) and Philip W. Harris, Ph.D., emeritus professor of criminal justice at Temple University, where he taught courses on juvenile justice policy, organization and management theory, and program and policy development for thirty-five years will present.
Educational engagement and progress in other youth development goals are often embraced by youth justice systems. In order to learn about what works and to hold agencies and programs accountable, their efforts and outcomes need to be specific and measurable. Justice agencies, however, often encounter challenges when trying to devise outcome measurements that extend beyond simple recidivism. This webinar will address strategies and tools currently available for measuring educational and other positive outcomes.
