Duval Schools Suspend Larger Number of Blacks than Whites – The Florida Times-Union

A new report shows that almost 80 percent of students suspended from Duval County Public Schools were African-American. In addition, over 70 percent of students sent to in-school detention and seventy percent referred for discipline were also black. Duval’s student body is 44 percent black. Read more.
