Black Family Summit Focuses on Proactive Options for Minority Youth – The Palm Coast Observer
The Black Family Summit met February 25, 2017 to discuss the school-to-prison pipeline and to find ways to keep minority youth out of jail. The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) attended the summit and discussed the reality of disproportionate minority contact (DMC) with law enforcement and the difference between civil citation and arrest.
